This guide provides information for the preferences found on the Automation Schedules tab in System Preferences. It is intended for system administrators.
Automation schedules are optional features that can assist with automatic data syncing and automated workflows for your company. To access configuration settings for your server's automation schedules, navigate from Main Menu > System Admin > System Preferences > Automation Schedules.
Note: You must first mark the flag for Server Schedules to enable automation schedules on your FileMaker server.
Schedule Status Tab
This tab gives an overview of your automation schedules. You can view the status of each automation schedule and manually run a schedule script.
Schedule Setup Tab
This tab provides robust configuration settings for managing your automation schedules.
You can activate or delete schedule scripts, change a script's ID number, and configure when a script runs using the preferences here. You can also update the frequency of an automation schedule or activate new schedule scripts as needed.
Script Parameter | Enter custom FileMaker coding to specify which records should be updated when the script runs. Note: This icon is highlighted in blue when FileMaker coding has been entered. | |
aACE Schedule Scripts | Displays the list of recognized schedule scripts that exist behind-the-scenes. |
FM Server Timer Schedules Tab
Schedule scripts can be managed in groups on this tab.
When you view the schedule scripts by group, aACE shows:
- When a schedule from the group was last run
- Which schedule from the group was run
- The status of the schedule script
You can put a temporary pause on all timer schedules found on the FileMaker server by clicking the link to Halt Timers on Server. Clicking it again re-activates the timers.
