This guide summarizes production preferences you can configure in your system. It is intended for system administrators.
To work with Production Preference settings, navigate from Main Menu > Internal > Management Preferences > Production.
Note: You must click Edit to update these settings and preferences.
1. Jobs
You can configure how aACE automatically schedules and notifies team members about production jobs.
2. Job Automation
aACE has extensive automation settings. The Job Automation section handles preferences for auto-opening or auto-closing jobs. Additionally, automatic cost application can be configured here.
3. Tasks
Marking this preference will notify the team member who assigned the task that the task is complete.
4. Task Automation
Similar to jobs, production tasks can be streamlined with automation. aACE can automatically mark a task as Incomplete, which typically starts workflows for accomplishing the task.
5. Inventory
Inventory preferences for jobs and tasks, such as inventory balances and replenishment, can be configured here.
Backflush settings takes effect when a team member clicks the Quantity Transfer icon for the main production product. aACE applies all the inventoried item job costs to each of the component items. This represents the inventory being used to produce the final product.
6. Time
You can configure preferences for time entries through the call dialog and timesheet management. The time referenced in this section comes from jobs and tasks.
