Understanding the aACE+ Power BI Integration

This guide explains the aACE+ Power BI Integration. It is intended for system administrators.

Power BI is a Microsoft business analytics tool that turns your business data into dashboards you can read and interact with. Instead of using exported data in spreadsheets and rebuilding reports every month, Power BI connects straight to your data and keeps it in a live, visual model.

For a business using aACE, the data is already there. Every order, invoice, job, and inventory movement lives in aACE. Power BI reads from that same data: sales and margins over time, your top customers and products, job budgets against actual costs, a full income statement, and more. Information that used to display across separate screens and in spreadsheets becomes one view you can filter. Because the dashboard is live data, one refresh updates the report with the current data.

While the online version of Power BI is available for Windows OS and Mac OS, the Power BI desktop version only works on Windows OS. If you are working with a Mac OS workstation and want to use the desktop version, you must install a Windows emulator to use Power BI desktop.
